BRAVO! CLUB’s Board of Directors is comprised of dynamic, social, young professionals dedicated to cultivating a younger audience for San Francisco Opera.


2017 BRAVO! CLUB Board of Directors

Shannon Eliot, President
Shannon is the Communications Manager for Kaiser Permanente, East Bay and is pursuing her M.B.A. at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. She earned a B.S. in physiology and neuroscience and a B.A. in political science from the University of California, San Diego.

Kari Lincks, Vice President
Kari has extensive experience in publicity and event planning with both arts and non-arts organizations. She is also a social media strategist at Williams-Sonoma and plays the oboe in community symphonies around the Bay Area.

Rachel Bier Lem, Secretary
Rachel uses her forestry background to conserve land for people at the Trust for Public Land. She has a Master's in Forestry and a B.S. in conservation and resource studies from University of California, Berkeley.

Xanadu Bruggers
Xanadu is a Senior Assistant to the Consumer Products team at Pixar Animation Studios and she has a B.F.A. with a Theatre Performance emphasis from Cornish College of the Arts. She is an active member in the fringe theater scene in San Francisco, as well as a co-chair for the Charity Outreach Committee with the Spinsters of San Francisco.

Katie Bryant
Katie is an associate attorney with Buchalter Nemer, where she practices commercial litigation. She attended Stanford Law School and University of California, Davis.

Arif Damji
Arif is currently the Director of Innovation at Kosta Browne Winery and has a passion for helping brands improve their customer loyalty and growth initiatives. He holds a graduate degree from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge.

Laura Della Guardia
Laura is a French-American mixed-media artist with a degree in Fine Arts from Ecole Camondo in Paris. She is also a Vinyasa yoga instructor and an advertising executive specialized in emerging economies.

Laurie Diab
Laurie has worked in the non-profit, private and education sectors, domestically and internationally, with responsibilities that have included marketing, education and communications. She is passionate about the performing arts, volunteering for breast cancer initiatives and travel.

Leah Fine
Leah is a consultant at Bain & Company. She holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a B.A. from Barnard College, and has been attending the San Francisco Opera since she was six years old.

Alex Jakle
Alex is a consultant with Trial Behavior in San Francisco, working with attorneys to rigorously test and refine their case themes and arguments. He attended Pomona College and received a graduate degree in Political Science and his law degree from the University of Michigan.

Nicole Jiam
Nicole is a resident physician at the University of California – San Francisco Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery with a research interest in music perception, cochlear implants and creativity.  She received her M.D. degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in neuroscience. In her free time, she plays the viola, violin and piano.

Anjali Menon
Anjali works in tech, working at companies such as Twitter, TaskRabbit and a Y Combinator company called Magic, where she is the Head of Growth. She earned a degree in Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley, and used to sing opera.

Alex Petalas
Alex is a senior associate at CBRE, and he holds an M.B.A. from Thunderbird and a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona.

Susan Walker
Susan is a manager of audit and advisory services specializing in process improvement and risk management for healthcare.  She has a B.A. in neurobiology and linguistics from Cornell and an M.H.A. from University of Illinois, Chicago.

Victoria Weatherford
Victoria is a Deputy City Attorney with the San Francisco City Attorney's Office, bringing lawsuits on behalf of the City for violations of state and local laws. She attended Yale Law School and U.C.L.A., and serves on the Board of Directors of the YWCA of San Francisco and Marin.
